Written by Gregory Cooper and the
2011 Massey University Distinguished Young Alumni Recipient Luke Di Somma
Centrepoint Theatre, Cnr of Pitt and Church Street, Palmerston North
6.00pm drinks and nibbles, show starts at 6.30pm
Wednesday 30th May
For one night only, Massey University alumni, staff and friends are invited to purchase tickets at the special price of $35 (normally $45) to see Lisa Chappell (McLeod’s Daughters) rock her way through the smash hit musical That Bloody Woman. The performance will be followed by a Q&A session with Lisa and Luke.
That Bloody Woman has received rave reviews when it was performed in Auckland in 2016, and Wellington in 2017, and is not to be missed!
CAUTION: contains rebellious language, unchaperoned ladies, opinionated women and flashes of ankle!
New Zealand’s favourite daughter, suffragist, activist and cyclist Kate Sheppard is transformed from the face on the $10 note into a punk-rock idol, raising hell and rocking out. Armed with a mic and leading the charge to win women the vote, Kate takes on the patriarchy, public opinion and even Prime Minister Richard ‘King Dick’ Seddon.
Centrepoint Theatre is proud to present a brand new version of smash hit rock musical, That Bloody Woman. Starring McLeod’s Daughters’ Lisa Chappell and supported by musicians and performers from the Manawatū community, witness New Zealand’s founding mother like you’ve never seen her before; loud, proud and in your face.
