New Zealand is quite different from my home country, Singapore, in terms of its culture, lifestyle, and environment. Yet, these differences are what making my experience living and studying here such a rewarding and fulfilling experience.
I am currently based in the Albany campus doing my PhD in Food Technology. Living in Auckland meant that I had the convenience and excitement of a city life, but am never too far away from a scenic beach or relaxing walk in the park.
I had also previously completed my Bachelor’s degree with Massey University in the Singapore campus.
During my time as an undergrad, I had the opportunity to visit the Palmerston North campus for three months to complete my Honours Year Project.
Having been to the different campuses, the one thing that does not change is the dedication of the staffs at Massey University. I was truly impressed that both lecturers and technical support staffs were not only knowledgeable in their respective fields, but also very friendly and approachable.
Studying at Massey University has given me the opportunity to live in a beautiful country with world-famous landscapes, while learning from lecturers who are committed to ensuring the success of their students.
