The Learning Management System (LMS) will track and save your progress as you work through the Toro Mai courses. This allows you to leave your study and return to it later, without losing your place.
Follow these tips so that the LMS can record your progress.
After you've entered your course (for example, via Te Reo, Launch and Enter) a new browser window will open. This is the LMS browser window and it's recording your progress.
In addition to the LMS browser window, another new browser window will open automatically. This is the actual Course Platform where the course materials are delivered.
You must enter the Course Platform via the Toro Mai login page. If you open the Course Platform directly (for example, through a saved link), the LMS will not record your progress.
At the bottom of the Course Platform page, you will see the course topics in circles (for example, Meet & Family). The rings around the circles are coloured to show your progress for each topic. If your circles appear to have less progress than when you were here last, please close down all Toro Mai web browser windows (remembering there are usually multiple windows open during a session).
When you're in a topic section (for example words, phrases and so on), you can see your progress bar on the top right of the screen. Click on your progress bar to view more details about your progress in the section.
If at any point you see a pop-up error message, "Course could not connect to the LMS", please end your session. Even though you will be able to continue with the course, your progress will not be recorded. Your course must be connected to the LMS if you want to record your progress.
You can only have one session of Toro Mai open at a time (including on separate devices). When you finish your session on a device, it's a good idea to close down all Toro Mai web browser windows (remembering there are usually multiple windows open).
If you are having trouble logging in to your account, you may need to reset your password.
Your username will be the email address you used to register for Toro Mai. Remember to check your spam and junk mail folders for the password reset email.
You're welcome to re-enrol for the course at any time.
If you have pop-ups enabled, then Toro Mai should automatically launch after step four.
