Each year a limited number of postgraduate students are invited to join research teams in the School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing. Three possibilities exist to provide support for these students:
Each year we appoint a number of our internal postgraduate students as tutors to undergraduate communication classes at our Albany, Manawatu and Wellington campuses.
The School has a large enrolment of extramural (distance) students as well as internal (on-campus) students in its undergraduate and postgraduate courses, requiring marking support. Depending on your study workload you may be recruited as both tutor and assignment marker.
The School has discretionary funding to support research students, depending on the individual's situation and availability of funding. (Also note that the University's fees are lower for 120-credit (full thesis) postgraduate research study than for other forms of postgraduate study.)
Massey University has other forms of assistance available. See more details at scholarships and grants.
