    Dr Kate Blackwood

    Senior Lecturer - School of Management

    Kate is a senior lecturer in the School of Management (Albany). She is a co-director of the Healthy Work Group - a multidisciplinary team of researchers from Massey interested in psychosocial factors in workplace health and safety. She is a co-editor of the New Zealand Journal of Human Resources Management and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Management and Organisation. Her primary research interests include interventions in workplace bullying and the prevention of psychosocial hazards at work. She is currently working on an HRC-WorkSafe funded project evaluating psychosocial hazard interventions in small and medium sized enterprises.

    Lecturer - School of Management

    Dr Kate Bone is an interdisciplinary academic with interests in workplace wellbeing and tourism. Kate's research is concerned with social justice issues and she presents critical accounts of lived experiences from a largely sociological perspective. Kate is an active member of the Healthy Work Group and MPOWER.

    Kate is a named investigator awarded $1.2 million in funding (Feb 2020) from WorkSafe New Zealand and the Health Research Council to support a 3-year project investigating how participatory Psychosocial Safety Climate interventions can reduce psychosocial risk and enhance wellbeing within SMEs in New Zealand's health, education and manufacturing sectors.

    Senior Lecturer - School of Management

    Dr David Brougham is a Senior Lecturer in the Massey Business School, specialising in the future of work. At present, he is looking at how employees and businesses plan to adapt to changes as a result of technological disruption brought on by smart technology, arti?cial intelligence, automation, robotics, and algorithms etc. David has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate papers in project management, leadership/governance, human resource management and contemporary management. At present, he coordinates the School of Managements Capstone course.

    Associate Head of School - School of Management

    Bevan is a Professor in the School of Management (Albany). He is a member of the Healthy Work Group, which is a multidisciplinary team of researchers from Massey interested in psychosocial factors in workplace health and safety. Bevan’s primary research focus is on workplace bullying and workplace violence and he has published extensively on these topics in a number of international journals. Bevan is also a board member of the International Association on Workplace Bullying and Harassment and former board member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management. 

  • Dr Jason Cordier

    Jason is a Director of Teaching and Learning in the School of Management. He is also a member of Massey University's Healthy Work Group and consults, lectures and researches within the fields of strategic management, strategic HRM, and knowledge management. He has extensive European, Asian, Middle Eastern and North American consulting experience in the fields of Governmental Organizational Development, Islamic Finance, Agri-business, Oil & Gas, Asset Management and Diversified Conglomerates. Jason has managed large consulting projects for a wide array of organizations including American Express Middle East, Bahrain Oil & Gas Authority, Limoneira, and the Government of Pakistan.

  • Dr Darryl Forsyth

    Dr Darryl Forsyth

    Senior Lecturer - School of Management

    Darryl Forsyth is a senior lecturer in Department of Management at Massey University’s Albany campus. He currently teaches in area of Human Resource Management & Research Methods. His ‘umbrella’ research focus is on understanding and facilitating healthy work.  More specifically, currently this includes research projects on Information overload, Resilience, Workplace bullying & violence.  The majority of my research focus is with the ‘Healthy Work Group’, where he specialises in designing comprehensive data collection tools and data analysis/modelling. He holds a PhD in Applied Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of Canterbury

    I am an Assistant Lecturer in Massey's School of Management, currently teaching on a number of first year papers. I enjoy juggling these teaching duties with completing my PhD, which is focused on exploring the experiences of those who hold multiple jobs.

    As an academic in the School of Management I teach courses in HR/ER, Decent Work and Project Management, and I supervise postgraduate students.  I am a co-director of the Healthy Work Group - a research team involved in evaluating and addressing psychosocial risks and interventions in work, and I am a member of the human ethics committee in Albany.  I have been at Massey University since 2011.  Before this I was a self-employed consultant and a researcher with Scion (a Crown Research Institute).
