My Culture My Plate study

Are you of Māori, Pasifika, or Chinese ethnicity? If so, then we need your voice!

Food is an important part of cultural heritage and national identity. We want to see this reflected in our Hospital menus, where food options will support the diverse range of people and cultures in Aotearoa New Zealand.

We are looking for men and women to take part in a study that will help us identify:

• what you think about the current menu at Auckland City, Counties Manukau, North Shore or Wāitakere Hospitals
• the kinds of traditional / cultural foods that you like to eat when you are sick.

Volunteer for this study

Volunteers must:

• be over 18 years of age
• be of Māori, Pasifika, or Chinese ethnicity
• have been admitted to hospital within the past 12 months.

This study involves filling out an online survey and potentially participating in a small focus group in your local community.
