Undergraduate Research Symposium

The inaugural Massey University Undergraduate Research Symposium is being held on 25 September 2020, hosted online. This webinar will connect participants working remotely and from all campuses, as well as at a Distance or even lockdown!

The symposium is an opportunity for undergraduate students (studying towards any bachelor's or honours degree) to share the findings of original research which might include:

• an original research component in an undergraduate course,
• an undergraduate summer scholarship or internship
• research in the first year of a postgraduate programme (excluding doctoral),
• an Honours project

Please note that participants may also participate in the first year of their doctoral study, or second year of Masters as long as they are presenting work completed as part of an undergraduate degree, summer scholarship or internship, first year of a postgraduate (excluding doctoral) or honours project.

Presentations (papers) should be up to 10 minutes, allowing a couple of minutes for questions from the awed audience. Powerpoint, prezi, or pdf formats are recommended to share on-screen.

Please register using the registration button below and upload a 200 word abstract using the Abstract Template available below.

Up to five of the best presentations may be selected to attend the Australasian Council of Undergraduate Research Conference, now scheduled at the Australian National University in Canberra, 16-17 September 2021: http://www.acur.org.au/2020-conference-acuranu/. A bursary of up to $1500 may be made available by the university to help support student attendance.
