We specialise in providing research for commercial and governmental agencies to develop integrated site-specific solutions to enhance the economic and environmental performance of land use systems.
We have also undertaken smaller projects with internal and external organisations. For example, some work has just been completed on meat quality and another on kiwifruit quality.

This project uses hyperspectral sensors to look at nutrients in the landscape. The ultimate goal is to be able to evaluate fertiliser requirements in hill country without having to do traditional soil and pasture testing. This project is under a PGP with Ravensdown and MPI.
Development and refining of variable rate application technologies. This project is looking at improving technologies to deliver fertiliser variability on hill country farms from a fixed wing aircraft. Funded by Ravensdown.
This project uses UAV technologies to look at urine patches on farm. Funded by Lincoln Agritech Ltd.
This project is one part of a wider schedule of work under the same umbrella. NZCPA's part of this project is to take samples and provide data to the contractor to enable analysis of pasture growth and changes over time. Contracted by AgResearch.
This project uses a range of sensors and equipment via UAV to sense nutrients and feed availability on dairy farms.
