Project Dairy 1 comprises a multidisciplinary science team working collaboratively on projects which align to the overarching goals and aspirations of the project.
The project group is developing strong connections and partnerships with farmers, communities, industry and international research organisations. Dairy 1 is part of the Lower North Island Once-a-Day discussion group and the Global Farm Platform.

Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Primary Industry Management and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. An in-depth understanding of global farming and agribusiness. Awarded Officer of NZ Order of Merit for services to agribusiness in 2018.

Project Dairy 1 is a partner of the Global Farm Platform which brings together world-leading universities and agricultural research institutions in six continents working towards sustainable ruminant production.
The strategy on Dairy 1 is to have a herd comprising Jersey, Friesian and cross-bred cows. Jersey NZ and its members are generous supporters of the research underway at Dairy 1.
LIC work closely with Dairy 1 and supports the genetic development of the Dairy 1 herd.
