Modelling corrugated fibreboard packaging mechanical performance for design optimisation

The work considers fibreboard packaging for biological products which must necessarily protect their contents from compression loads during storage, transport and distribution in the cold-chain. The modelling approach developed to predict mechanical strength and validated by mechanical testing, will be used to design optimised packaging solutions.
