Dogs in warfare

Many people are aware that dogs have played an important role in detecting explosives in conflict zones throughout the world. What is less well known is that dogs have played an important role in wars dating back to 600 BC.

Working Dog Centre Director, Boyd Jones, wrote an interesting history of dogs in warfare for the Companion Animal Society Newsletter .
